High Vibrations with The Barefoot Bohemian || Chapter 1

Calling all Chocoholics!  

1 1/2 cups non dairy milk (almond/ coconut/ hemp) are my favorites!
1/4 cup chia seeds
3 tablespoons raw cacao powder
2-3 table spoons pure maple (or honey if non-vegan)
1/2 cup of cherries, pitted & sliced- check your local market for the freshest cherries (extra for decor)
Additional toppings: extra cherries, raw cacao, pure cacao nibs, roasted pistachios, raw coconut shreds 
In a bowl or mason jar, stir together first 4 ingredients (non dairy milk, chia, raw cacao and maple.  Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or even overnight.  Just before serving separate into individual bowls (makes up to 4 servings) top with fresh cherries, and garnish with all of your favorite toppings!
We chose: raw coconut shreds, cacao nibs, cacao powder, almond butter, roasted pistachios and... more cherries!

This recipe was created after an afternoon of craving something sweet and a bit savory and on the healthy side!  Believe it or not, when using pure raw cacao and maple you are actually consuming a healthy snack! This super simple and easy to make recipe is so divine & rich and you can feel good (kind of like a goddess) eating it... what?  Yes, you can even devour for breakfast.
Despite their tiny size, chia seeds are packed full of important nutrients.  They are an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants and they provide fiber, iron and calcium.  
Pair these babies with their super food friend cacao and summer seasonal cherries for a delicious and nutritious treat thats takes a breezy 10 minutes to prepare!
