An affirmation is a positive statement that enables us to focus and reflect on the people, feelings and things that we wish to draw into our lives. Practiced regularly, they can be an incredibly powerful way to increase your confidence, self esteem and focus.
The best affirmations are simple, clear and focused on a single thought, aspiration or goal.
When you say an affirmation over and over again, it sends a message to your Reticular Activating System (RAS) that this is something that's important to you. Your mind then reacts, pushing the thought to the forefront of your awareness and and kicking your motivation into gear.
